Mayor and City Manager Monthly Press Conference

Mayor De La Isla and City Manager Trout will have monthly press conferences on the last Tuesday of every month. These press conferences will be streamed on Facebook live at ten a.m. 
Mayor De La Isla said that the goal of holding the monthly press conferences was transparency and to get more information out to the citizens of Topeka. 
Topics discussed in this press conference included road projects, the capital improvement plan and the budget.

Municipal Court Dockets now online 

The Municipal Court has created a new link on the website that allows access to daily docket schedules. Docket schedules are uploaded by 5 p.m. the night before the docket. Alternative Sentencing Court dockets will not be able to be accessed online at this time.

Budget Priorities Survey 

The Budget office is requesting input on priorities for the 2019 Budget. Take the budget priorities survey at to make your voice heard! The survey will be open for the next few months leading up to Council discussions on March 20th, April 3rd and 24th.

Grass Burn at Garfield Wetlands and Soldier Creek 

The Water Pollution Control Division did a prescribed grass burn at the Garfield Wetland and Soldier Creek. You can find out more information by watching the Facebook live video here:

Government Finance Officer's Association's Budget Award 

The Budget and Performance Office received notice of the Government Finance Officer’s Association’s Budget Award for the 2018 budget book. The award continues to reinforce the City’s commitment to integrating best practices and transparency in budget documents. Congrats to the Budget division!
